Oak Mountain State Park

The VOC hosts orienteering meets primarily at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, AL (just south of Birmingham on I-65, exit 246) which is the only area in Alabama with orienteering quality maps large enough to host advanced orienteering courses. We have a large portion of the 8,820 acre park mapped with enough detail for orienteering. This allows us to start in several different locations throughout the park to keep you from getting too acquainted with any one section of the park.

OMSP Entrance Fees

  • $2 (per person per day) - weekdays
  • $3 (per person per day) - weekends and holidays
  • Annual passes are also available for purchase at the park office. Passes are good from the date of purchase to one year from date of purchase.
    • Individual Pass: $100
    • Senior Pass (62 and Older): $50
    • Family Pass (up to 4 people): $175
